Thanksgiving! Ooops... this is late!

Well, I guess late is better than never! I just got some great pictures from my mom that she snapped at our Thanksgiving celebration, so I wanted to share them with you!

I love Thanksgiving! Its such a low pressure holiday... The biggest responsibility one has on Thanksgiving is to stuff yourself. Whew, that's a tough one! We had quite the feast, including the best mashed potatoes ever made (Yes, I made them... They were a-mazing.) After lunch, totally stuffed and about to collapse from turkey coma, Mom did a little impromptu photo shoot of my little family! Here you go:

Lucy Lulu's First Birthday Party!

Lulu turned ONE yesterday! I can't even believe it! She is such a big girl!!
Last Saturday, Kyle and I threw Lucy her very first birthday party! She was the absolute belle of the ball and had a great time. They party was fantastic!! The house was super festive and all decorated for Christmas!
We had all of our closest friends and family (50+ in my little house, eee!!) over to celebrate our little girl's big day. My little sister even made it in town, it was PERFECT!
Lucy wore the most precious birthday dress. It was hot pink and poofey, just the way I like my dresses! And, of course, she has a HUMONGOUS hot pink bow to match! She looked like such a doll.
We had a delicious feast including: brisket sliders, green bean bundles, warm artichoke dip, cheese and fruit, salad, cherry chutney with cream cheese dip, and more! There wasn't much left over :-)
We had tons of sweets too! It was a birthday party, after all! We had 100 mini cupcakes, a mountain of chocolate cake balls, and the most ADORABLE birthday cake I have ever seen! It matched her invitations :-) It tasted incredible too!
Lucy gave out beautiful iced sugar cookies for her party favors! She was such a thoughtful hostess :-)
Lucy had a great time blowing out her candle and noshing on some delicious cake! She loved everyone singing to her! She cheered at the end of "Happy Birthday!"
She got so many amazing gifts from all her friends and family! She really liked the wrapping paper too :-)
It was a very exciting LOOONG night for our little big girl...
It was time to change in to our jam jams! New ones from mommy's bestie, Katie :-)
Oh, and maybe eat a cupcake...
And check out her cool new toys!
I'm pretty sure it was the best night of Lucy's little life, so far :-) She had such a great time! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us celebrate! It was truly a magical night!!

Merry Christmas to Mommy!

Do you remember this post? Its the one about the Easy Walker Duo I ordered when we first found out we were having another baby. Well it came... It was huge... I was overwhelmed... And I took it back. So, I started hunting once again for the perfect doubles stroller for my Irish Twins!

Luckily, I have Ding Bats and Nicole :-) After much debate, discussion, and even a several hour training class with Dave, the spunky Phil&Ted's rep, I decided on the Phil&Ted's Vibe + Doubles Kit. And OH, how I love it!
I absolutely love this stroller and its many options. It is perfect for me, my size, and my lifestyle! Thank you Phil&Ted's for an awesome product :-) Here's why I love it:

Its like four strollers in one! Because the doubles kit is detachable, you have the option of it being just a single stroller when the need be. Which is awesome as I know there will be times when I have just one of the girls. Here are the four positions:

As you can see it really grows with your family! On average, a family with 2 children will buy 4 different strollers in the early years of raising the kids. With the Vibe, you only need the one! YAY! You can also you with Maxi Cosi car seat with the Vibe, which was a must have feature in and stroller I looked at. You place the car seat up front and the toddler in the back.

And, of course, the design is awesome! It looks super cool, hip, and not like everyone else's stroller. These things are important :-)

Lucy thinks its so cool! Its her BIG girl stroller and she knows it. She looks super cool riding around in it!

I have to say, this thing rocks my world! If you are in the market for a new stroller, single or double, I totally recommend this one!

While I was doing the dishes yesterday, Lucy compiled her Christmas wish list for Santa! I'm tellin' you, she's a genius. Anyway, she asked if I would please mail it to the North Pole for her... I figured this was just as good :-)
