It has been a while since I posted a recipe for my favorite kitchen companion... Beaba's BabyCook! But since little Miss Penny has entered the exciting world of baby food and the BabyCook is once again a permanent fixture on my counter top, I thought it was time. As you know, I don't really cook with recipes, so please excuse my "measurements."
Creamy Cheesey Broccoli
2 Handfuls of Broccoli Florets (I use organic frozen broccoli from Whole Foods)
1 Handful of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Pat of Butter
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Put the appropriate amount of water in the BabyCook (to the "3" line for frozen veggies). Put the broccoli florets in the steaming basket and let steam. This will take about 12 minutes. When the cooking light goes off, take the steam basket out of the BabyCook and pour the "Steam water" in to a little container, you will need this in a minute. Pour the steamed broccoli into the blender basket and add the cheese, butter, and salt & pepper. Begin to blend adding the "steam water" a little at a time until you get the desired consistency. Let cool and serve to your baby.
