A Sad Day for the US of A

As you may have picked up on from THIS post, we are a FUTBOL family! I must say, since I'm not a huge sports fan, I am so glad that out of all the sports out there Hubs likes to watch obsess over soccer. Soccer has the best looking athletes is the most interesting :)

We were obviously rooting for the USA yesterday and Hubs was heartbroken over their loss. But we have to be proud of our boys who played their HEARTS out! GO USA!!

Okay, okay! Lucy didn't say that... But I did! Yes, I was so in LOVE with my sis when I was little I would tell EVERYONE I met that "My sistor is my fwiend!" I was adorable. Be quiet. Want proof? I got it!!

Daddy-O Day

Its no secret around here that we love daddy. Everyday when he gets home from work, Lucy goes running to the door straight into his arms. Penny lights up with her best smile every time she sees him! He's a good daddy, I think we'll keep him around :)

The girls and I got up girls GOT me up extra early and I made french toast, rosemary potatoes, and fresh strawberries for breakfast (after 1 3 cups of coffee). It was delish if I do say so myself!

After breakfast and some World Cup watching, we headed over to my grandparents house for lunch and watermelon (Lucy loves herself some watermelon!)

 

We hung out in the pool.

The boys had a BIG SPLASH contest.

Lucy figured out the watering hose... And sprayed everyone :)

We swam and swam.

Penny took a little snooze in the pool. It was "womby." bahahaha

Lucy went down the slide for the first time!

And off the diving board!!

Over and...

...Over again!

Penny hung out... Just being adorable.

And Lucy was, well, Lucy and made a complete mess out of her new suit! Love her :)

The girls crashed out on the way home before we even pulled out of the drive way. So, hubs and I got to take a little napper ourselves! Success!!

It was a good day!

Oh and we got to hang out with this guy... Which is always a good time ;)

Yep, that's my daddy! Doing his best David Cook (or Swoops as dad called him) impression. The origin of this picture is an ENTIRE post all on its own. I might get around to posting it if I ever stop laughing :D

Girls Room!

I got a couple emails after my last post calling me out on the fact that I promised to reveal the girls room after I finished decorating... And never did. Oops :-| Actually, I was just building up a ridiculous amount of suspense I completely forgot.

Never fear, dear ones! Here it is!

So, I've been threatening to post video of my Lucy WALKING for weeks now! I just found the cord that connects the camera to my computer, today! Hallelujah!! So here it is, as promised... Better late than never, right? :-)

What a MESS!

So I undertook a MAJOR project yesterday. Switching out the girls closet! Now, I know what you all are thinking... They are 17 months and 4 months, how hard could it possibly be?

Well let me tell ya... It was a mess.

Those girls have have more clothes than you could even imagine!

I had to pack up a ton of Penny's clothes... She's getting so big!

And some of Lucy's too!

Their closet was nearly empty...

Until I filled it back up again with their new things!

I got their drawers all organized...

And found all the shoes hidden around the house!

It was a serious undertaking! But I survived... And I feel quite accomplished! I really had know idea they had so much stuff! Its OOC (out of control)...  I'm OOC. Don't believe me?

I found an entire bin worth of little boys clothes...

You know... Just in case ;-)
